In the Workshop, you have the ability to manipulate chips to build and fine-tune your ChipWit’s behavior. Here’s a breakdown of key actions you can take while working with chips in the Workshop grid:
Drag and Drop Chips #
- Move Chips: You can drag and drop any placed chip within the Workshop grid as long as the chip is not locked. This allows you to easily reposition chips to refine your program’s flow.
Selecting All Chips in a Panel #
- Double-Click to Select All: By double-clicking on the tabs at the top of the Workshop (such as Main Panel or SubPanels), you can automatically select all sockets in the selected Workshop panel.
Deleting Chips #
- Press Delete Key: If you have a chip selected, you can quickly delete it by pressing the Delete key on your keyboard, making it easy to remove unnecessary chips from your program.
Multi-Selecting Chips #
- Group Selection: By holding down the Control key on the keyboard and clicking on multiple individual chips with the mouse, you can multi-select chips. This allows you to group-select and modify, copy or move several chips at once.
Copying Chips #
- Copy Selected Chips: To copy a selected chip (or group of chips), press the Control key and the C key simultaneously. This action copies the chip(s) so you can paste them elsewhere in the Workshop grid.
Delete All Chips from All Panels and SubPanels #
- Reset to Default Program : To remove ALL chips from ALL Panels and SubPanels all at once you can select “Reset to Default Program” from the Workshop Menu.
These controls give you flexibility and efficiency when managing your chips, making it easier to build, adjust, and fine-tune your ChipWit’s program within the Workshop.
