I’m Mark Roth, and I’m here with Doug Sharp, the co-creator of the classic geek 1980s computer game, ChipWits. We’re thrilled to announce that we’re rebooting this game so that we can modernize it and bring it to a new generation of fans! We’ve got big plans. A Game About Coding Robots!
ChipWits is a fun and interactive game that challenges you to develop and refine your coding skills. In each mission, you control your robot by placing “chips” in a grid. These chips represent instructions like “Move Forward” or “Pick Up Item”. Some missions limit how many chips you can use, or require your instructions to be as efficient as possible. Other missions are completely open-ended and allow you to explore and make up your own objectives.
Whether or not you already know how to code, ChipWits is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for players of all ages and backgrounds. With modernized graphics, music, items, chips and puzzles, the reboot is even better than the multiple award-winning original game from 1984!
You’ll have a blast coding your own robot and exploring all the possibilities the game has to offer. Plus, you can compete with other players on global leaderboards and tackle new puzzles and missions that are posted all the time.
If you’re looking for a fresh and exciting way to learn coding, then ChipWits is the perfect game for you!
