SELECT A MISSION SCREEN

The Select a Mission screen is the central hub where players can choose from a variety of missions, each offering unique challenges and gameplay styles. This screen is divided into three key sections: Dr. Droog Campaign, Puzzle Missions, and Classic Missions. Each section provides a different type of experience, ranging from story-driven campaigns to time-tested classic levels.

Please note the golden arrows that direct you at the top or bottom of the screen when there is more to scroll in that direction to see!

Dr. Droog Campaign #

  • The Dr. Droog Campaign missions take place in a space station setting and are designed as a hybrid of tutorial levels and storyline-driven gameplay.
  • Sections: Missions in this campaign are split into various parts of Droog Station (such as West Station), each containing progressively more difficult levels.
  • Learning Focus: These missions gradually introduce new game concepts, helping players understand the mechanics of ChipWits while advancing through the campaign.
  • Narrative: In addition to gameplay, the Dr. Droog Campaign features a storyline that unfolds as players complete levels.

Puzzle Missions #

  • Puzzle Missions offer unique challenges with limited resources and set conditions.
  • Limited Chips and Cycles: Players are given a restricted set of chips to work with, as well as a limited number of cycles to complete the objectives.
  • Objective-Based: Each Puzzle Mission has specific objectives, such as collecting items or avoiding enemies, with additional rewards for efficiency—completing the task with fewer chips or cycles.
  • Seasonal Variants: Some Puzzle Missions are seasonal and change periodically, offering new and rotating challenges for players to enjoy.

Classic Missions #

  • Classic Missions are a nod to the original ChipWits gameplay and feature traditional levels from the game’s early days.
  • Familiar Objectives: These missions include objectives such as collecting items, zapping enemies, and surviving in dangerous environments.
  • Timeless Challenge: Classic Missions provide a consistent experience for players who want to revisit the iconic levels of ChipWits or test their skills in timeless gameplay scenarios.

Each section of the Select a Mission screen caters to different types of players—whether you’re following the story in the Dr. Droog Campaign, solving limited-resource puzzles, or diving into classic challenges.
