It’s been an incredible couple of weeks since we launched version 1.3 of ChipWits. Seeing the renewed engagement on our game’s Discord channel and the new puzzle challenge leaderboard has been the highlight of our month!
A Small Favor for a Big Milestone
We’re currently sitting at 7 user reviews on Steam (only people who have purchased and played are counted in Steam’s metrics). We’re so grateful to our fans who took the time to post a review. Once we hit 10 reviews, Steam’s discovery algorithm begins to kick in, helping more people find the game.
If you’ve been enjoying your time programming ChipWits, would you mind taking 60 seconds to leave a quick review on Steam? Whether it’s a nod to your favorite mission or just a few words of support, it makes a world of difference for an indie project like ours.
Final Call: Set the Table Challenge Puzzle Challenge
Don’t forget: this is the final weekend for our latest community ChipWit challenge, Set the Table.
You have until Sunday night to optimize your ChipWit’s logic and climb the leaderboard. We’ve seen some surprisingly elegant solutions so far, but there’s still time to snatch the top spot (or just play for the fun of it).
To play (or watch the live leaderboard), just load the game and scroll down in the puzzle selection screen. This challenge is available in both the Demo and Full Game so it’s free to play for all!
So that you don’t need to start from a blank slate, here’s a reference solution (just copy this and paste it into the Workshop):

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We couldn’t do it without your support (and your ingenious code).
