Hall of Pie, Web IBOL Viewer & Giant Slalom Finale!

The ChipWits Winter Games 2026 Giant Slalom Challenge has officially concluded. It’s been incredible watching the community optimize their logic to shave cycles off those descent times!

See below for a full video breakdown of the winning run, but first we wanted to announce the revival of the Hall of Pie and announce a new Web IBOL Viewer tool!

New Feature: The Hall of Pie

We are thrilled to unveil a brand-new corner of the ChipWits website: The Hall of Pie.

This is a revival of the High Score chart that appeared on the ChipWits II website. This is our permanent high-score archive and digital trophy case. We wanted a way to celebrate the ingenuity of our players long after a challenge ends.

In the Hall of Pie, you can find:

  • Challenges: A definitive list of all previous challenges, all the way back to ChipWits II
  • Winners: A record of who won each challenge
  • Video Footage: Videos of every winning solution so you can watch the logic in action
  • IBOL: View the full, winning IBOL code for each challenge in the new IBOL Viewer! See if you can improve on the best!

Whether you’re looking to study the masters to improve your own programming or just want to see your name etched in ChipWits history, the Hall of Pie is the place to be.

New Feature: IBOL Viewer

The Hall of Pie includes a new interactive feature: The Online IBOL Viewer!

This tool, accessible at https://chipwits.com/ibol, lets you paste in a chipwits: URI and view the IBOL right from the convenience of your browser. No more having to load the game and paste in the URI if you want to see someone’s solution.

Here’s a picture of the IBOL viewer in action, viewing the code for Greedy:

Winter Games 2026: Giant Slalom

Our newest inductee into the ChipWits Hall of Pie is repeat champion, jerric01, who completed the slalom in an incredibly efficient 240 cycles, almost 17% more efficient than the next-best entry!

This was a tricky challenge, because it exercises a new feature of our ChipWits Mission engine: the locations of the slalom gates are randomized. Check out the video below showcasing the winning solution:

We have no idea how jerric01 figured out this solution. His ChipWit seems to defy gravity as it skis diagonally backwards and forwards. Nice work!

You can check out Jerric01’s Solution in our new IBOL Viewer!

What’s Next?

Think you have what it takes to be the next inductee? Stay tuned and get your IBOL skills ready because the Spring ChipWit Challenge is just around the corner… 🍀
