ChipWits 1.1 With Hot Keys🔥: Now 15% Off for Back to School!

If you’ve been waiting for a Steam sale, now’s the perfect time to buy ChipWits! The new release of ChipWits 1.1 (with our new 🔥Hot Keys🔥 feature) is 15% off and one of 15 Featured Games in Steam’s Back To School Games Celebration, thanks to our new school-themed “Pencil Shards” mission! Let’s break this down…

Back to School Games Celebration

Every year, Mooncube Games hosts a Back to School Games Celebration on Steam, and this year (like last year) we’re part of it! You can find lots of discounted educational games, including ChipWits. The sale is live now through September 1, so be sure to check it out!

ChipWits 1.1: Now With Hot Keys!

One of the most frequent requests we’ve received is for a faster way to program ChipWits IBOL code if you’re using a keyboard. This update is all about improving your experience, and the star of the show is the new Hot Keys feature.

Hot Keys in Action!

You can now assign your favorite chips to keyboard keys 1 through 8. This lets you instantly place a fully-specified chip with a single keystroke, speeding up your IBOL editing like never before. The cursor will even automatically advance to the next empty slot, helping you stay in the flow.

To get you started, we’ve pre-assigned some hot keys for you in the first few tutorial missions. Once you’re ready, you can customize them however you’d like, and your settings will be saved for all future missions.

Input & Accessibility Improvements

We’ve also been hard at work on other improvements and bug fixes. We’ve added better support for gamepads and some initial support for touchscreens, so you should notice a smoother experience across all devices. We’ve also addressed several community-reported issues, including localization gaps, audio levels for Professor Chip, and a bug with our radial menu.
